J. Bruce Burley, DDS, FAGD


Dr. Bruce Burley is proud to be practicing dentistry in his home community.  After graduating from Williamsport High School, Dr. Bruce Burley attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, cum laude.  It was at Wake Forest that he met his wife, Connie, who was also a Biology major.  Dr. and Mrs. Burley continue to be “proud to be Demon Deacons”.

Dr. Burley earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1986.  While at the University of Maryland Dental School, he was selected as a member of Gorgas Odontological Honor Society and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society.  He also served as co-editor of the Dental School yearbook.
Dr. Bruce Burley has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in Washington County since 1986.  During this time he has continued to spend hours reading and taking continuing education courses related to dentistry.  These post-graduate continuing education achievements have awarded Dr. Burley a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.), recognizing him as a leader and example of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care.  Dr. Burley is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Washington County Dental Society, having served as past president and past secretary of the dental society.  He is also a member of the Academy for Computerized Dentistry and the Academy of Sports Dentistry.

Dr. Burley enjoys fishing, golfing, cycling, and spending time with his family when he isn’t otherwise occupied with dental practice.  Dr. Burley’s wife, Connie, is a biology teacher at Boonsboro High School.  They have two children, Brandon and Allison.  Allison, a graduate of Liberty University, is an elementary school teacher in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Dr. Brandon Burley is excited to have joined his dad in practice to serve the Hagerstown area.  Brandon attended Boonsboro elementary, middle, and high schools, and went on to the University of Maryland at College Park, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, magna cum laude.  While at the University of Maryland, Brandon enjoyed participating in many intramural sports teams, as well as the University of Maryland club soccer team.  Brandon was a member of the Life Sciences Scholars program and other honor societies including Mortar Board, Phi Kappa Phi, NSCS, and Golden Key.

Dr. Brandon Burley earned his DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2010, graduating with honors as he was elected to both Gorgas Odontological Honor Society and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, serving as secretary his senior year.  Once Brandon began private practice in Hagerstown, he served as President of the Washington County Dental Society from 2013-2015.

When not occupied with dental practice, Brandon and his wife, Ashley, enjoy spending time with friends and family.   In his free time, Brandon enjoys playing soccer and piano.  He feels that his exposure to new dental technology and research backed by the mentorship his dad, Bruce, provides an exciting opportunity to serve the dental needs of his hometown community.

Brandy Behrens, DDS


Dr. Brandy Behrens is thrilled to be a part of the Hagerstown Smiles team. Having grown up in a small town in northern New York, Dr. Brandy feels right at home here in Hagerstown. Brandy attended the University of Delaware, where she graduated with honors in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. While at Delaware, she enjoyed volunteering, working as a campus tour guide, and cheering on the “Fightin’ Blue Hens” football team.

Dr. Brandy earned her DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2013. During her time at the dental school, Dr. Brandy was involved in the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Association of Women Dentists.

Outside of the dental office, Brandy spends her time with her husband, Dan, and their yellow lab, Bailey. She enjoys hiking, traveling and reading. Dr. Brandy is very excited to join Drs. Bruce & Brandon Burley in serving the dental needs of the Hagerstown community with care and compassion.


Bobbi Moose, DDS


Dr. Moose proudly joined the team at Hagerstown Smiles in July 2016. She grew up in upstate New York. Dr. Bobbi attended Russell Sage College and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in human nutrition. From there, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Public Health and earned a Master’s Degree in public health and clinical nutrition. Following graduation, she practiced as a registered dietitian in North Carolina before relocating to Los Angeles. Once in LA, Dr. Bobbi decided to take her career to the next level and enrolled at UCLA, School 
of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, she returned to the east coast, landing in Maryland, where she worked in Cumberland in both private practice and at the Allegany County Health Department Dental Clinic. Having a strong affinity for children, she moved to Loudoun County, Virginia, to exclusively practice pediatric dentistry for five years. 

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Bobbi speaks to dentists and dental auxiliaries on how to recognize signs of child, domestic, and elderly abuse and human trafficking. She also regularly speaks about dental and nutrition topics at both Hagerstown Community College and Allegany College of MD. In her free time, she is an avid runner. She has run 19 full marathons, including 5 Boston marathons. She is also a huge college basketball fan and enjoys spending time with her husband, Regis, and dogs, Rory and Bella.
